As a professional Athlete in an aesthetic Sport, designing my own Equipment became part of my Job.

It all started in 2017, when Hyperlite gave me the opportunity to design my first limited edition Board with my good friend Marvin, who works as a designer at BMW.

Since the first board was sold out immediately, Hyperlite gave me the chance to do another limited edition Board the following year, of the same “shape” I was riding.

After two great selling limited edition Boards and my idea of changing the shape of the Board, Hyperlite told me what every board sports Athlete dreams of hearing. “We think you’re ready, you deserve your own board now!” – Those were the words Tommy, Hyperlite Product manager, said to me at the European Dealer Meeting.
That was the beginning of the “PLEASURE”, my first Pro model board.
For the first Pleasure, I wanted the design to be really clean, introducing a new shape, going with sleek, black graphics was the plan to get more people to try out this new board. I picked the name “Pleasure” because it was from the second I hit the water with the first prototype, the exact thing I was feeling. Design wise I added some other things that give me pleasure – the incomplete guide of maximum pleasure.

For the following year, I tried to go a little bit more meaningful in the design. Inspired by timeless music, I went with a clean design, that has some information about my favourite artists and songs. The Purple lightning bolt at the top is an ode to David Bowie. The Graphics at the bottom are based of my favourite song by INXS, which is, never tear us apart. there’s one phrase in that song that just stuck in my head..

..but if I hurt you, I´d make wine from your tears.. That explains my graphics the best I guess.

Since I was spending so much time in Lithuania, I thought it might be cool to give something back or somehow show my appreciation to the wakeboarding community there. So I renamed my third board, the pleasure, to malonumas. Which is Lithuanian for pleasure. With some small details like the coordinates of my favourite club in Lithuania, Opium Club, and some other Lithuanian hints in the graphics, I once again went with a super clean, black and white board design.

Damnn.. 2023.. my 6th board.. This one was a tough one, but I think it´s my favourite one so far. When I started designing it, I had no clue what I wanted.. I liked my clean, not so colourful boards, but I thought something was missing in my designs. My second board, the union limited with the rosé base were my favourite graphics, but I got hurt in that season and unfortunately didn’t get to ride it that much. So I thought, I need to bring back a coloured base! Glossy Piano Black on the top with a Klein Blue base, some racing stripes and the outline of a female body to achieve my most aesthetic graphics yet.
